Other Featured Organizations

These organizations aren't SSAP Member Groups, and some aren't even student groups, but if you're here reading this, you're probably interested in the environment, so we think you should know about them anyway.

Student Groups

Environmental Exchange

The Environmental Exchange (TEx) is an environmental journal where members can report on local news in the community. The mission of the journal is to expand the reader’s perspective outside of campus and into the community, bridging the gap between the Penn community and the local Philadelphia community. We primarily focus on environmental legislation, nonprofits, and outside events, and less on school related events.

UA Community Engagement and Sustainability Committee

The UA's Community Engagement and Sustainability Committee focuses on projects that promote greater social awareness within both Penn and the greater Philadelphia community as well as efforts to increase sustainable practices across campus.

Think Ocean Penn

Our goal is to increase college and high school awareness of environmental issues and engage members towards solving these challenges. Whether by hosting cleanups or pressing for systematic change in their communities, our chapters are focused towards protecting our blue planet from human impact. Every director and administrator of the organization are youth themselves, forging a community that encourages the passion and enthusiasm seen in younger populations.

Defenders of Wildlife Penn
