Have a project idea that needs some funding to get off the ground? Apply for the Green Fund Grant through Penn Sustainability! Penn’s Green Fund welcomes ideas from students, faculty, and staff about ways to improve the University’s environmental performance and reduce campus emissions. Since 2009, this initiative of the Penn Sustainability Office, funded by the Division of Facilities and Real Estate Services, has seeded innovative ideas in environmental sustainability from members of the University community. |
Post Landfill Action Network
Penn has joined as a member of the Post Landfill Action Network (PLAN), an organization dedicated to helping students with sustainability skill-building and campus waste reduction projects. All Penn students and alumni with an @upenn.edu email address get free access to their member hub, including workshops and certifications, online guides and resources, and discount pricing on environmentally-friendly products. The Penn Student Garden is a raised-bed organic garden located between Harrison House and Spruce St. Founded as a Green Fund project by a group of students in 2009, the garden serves as a shared educational space for the Penn and West Philadelphia communities. As of Spring 2019, the Penn Garden is now a part of the Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative (AUNI). |
